Pengertian Recount Text

Apa pengertian dari recount text ?

Pengertian recount text adalah salah satu bentuk teks yang menceritakan kisah-kisah di masa lampau baik pengalaman pribadi, pengalaman kelompok, atau segala event-event tertentu yang ditulis dalam bahasa inggris.
Dalam bahasa Indonesia atau konteks tulisan berbahasa indonesia, jenis teks recount ini bisa di setarakan dengan catatan pribadi seperti misalnya catatan harian atau catatan observasi yang fungsinya lebih sebagai pengingat.

Ciri-Ciri Recount Text

Terdapat 4 ciri-ciri recount text yaitu :

1) Menggunakan kalimat past tense karena menceritakan suatu kejadian yang sudah terjadi.
2) Menggunakan conjunction dan time connectives seperti before, after, then, when dan first untuk merangkai satu kejadian dan kejadian lainnya.
3) Menggunakan action verbs seperti visit, walk, eat dan go.
4) Menggunakan adverbs and adverbial phrase.

Macam Macam Recount Text

Secara umum terdapat 4 macam jenis recount text yaitu :

1. Personal Recount Text

Personal recount text adalah jenis recount text yang menceritakan pengalaman pribadi si penulis seperti pengalaman liburan, pengalaman di sekolah atau bahkan pengalaman tak terlupakan yang membuat kita terus mengingat kejadian tersebut.

2. Imaginative Recount Text

Imaginative recount text adalah jenis recount text yang menceritakan imaginasi penulis tentang suatu hal dan dituliskan dalam bentuk past tense. 

3. Factual Recount Text

Factual recount text adalah jenis recount text yang membahas tentang suatu hal yang benar-benar terjadi (fakta) di masa lampau.

4. Historical Recount Text

Historical recount text merupakan jenis recount text yang membahas tentang sejarah baik itu tempat bersejarah maupun benda bersejarah. 

Struktur Recount Text

Terdapat 3 unsur struktur recount text, yaitu :

1. Orientation (Pembuka)

Orientation berisi awalan cerita. Bagian ini biasanya menjelaskan tentang latar cerita seperti tempat dan waktu kejadian.

2. Event (Isi)

Event berisi inti cerita dari recount text. Bagian ini menjelaskan kejadian secara berurutan dari kejadian A ke kejadin B.

3. Reorientation (Kesimpulan atau Penutup Text)

Reorientation berisi pengulangan dan penutup jalannya cerita.

Contoh Recount Text

Berikut ini adalah salah satu recount text :

Titanic

On April 15, 1912, Titanic, one of the British largest and luxurious liners, sank into the North Atlantic Ocean which about 400 miles south of Newfoundland, Canada.

That giant ship which carried 2,200 passengers and crews had struck an iceberg. Two and a half hour later the ship sank into the deep North Atlantic Ocean at 2:20 a.m.

From that tragedy, more than 1,500 people went down in the sinking ship. Some of them froze to death in the icy North Atlantic water and around 700 people (high class woman and children) survived.

Unfortunately that giant luxurious ship was not equipped with much more lifeboats and good emergency procedures so that the victims of that tragedy were more than the half passengers and crews.

That tragedy became popular again some years later after James Cameron directed a movie entitled Titanic in 1997.

The movie that was inspired by the tragedy of the sinking titanic was a fiction story about the members of different social class who meet in that ship and fallen in love. It was the best movie at that year and still remembered by a lot of people around the world until now.

Terjemah :

Pada 15 April 1912, Titanic, salah satu kapal pesiar terbesar dan termegah milik Inggris tenggelam di Laut Atlantik Utara yang berjarak sekitar 400 mil dari selatan Newfoundland, Kanada.

Kapal raksasa yang membawa 2.200 penumpang dan kru tersebut menghantam sebuah gunung es. Dua setengah jam setelahnya, kapal tersebut tenggelam di dasar laut Atlantik Utara.

Dari peristiwa tersebut, lebih dari 1500 penumpang tenggelam bersamaan dengan tenggelamnya kapal tersebut. Sebagian dari mereka membeku dalam laut Atlantik Utara yang sangat dingin dan hanya sekitar 700 orang (perempuan dan anak-anak dari kelas atas) yang selamat.

Sayang sekali kapal raksasa mewah tersebut hanya dilengkapi dengan kapal sekoci yang jumlahnya terbatas serta prosedur emergency yang kurang bagus sehingga jumlah korban dari tragedi tersebut lebih dari setengah penumpang kapal beserta para kru.

Tragedi tersebut kembali populer beberapa tahun kemudian setelah James Kameron menyutradarai sebuah film yang berjudul Titanic pada tahun 1997.

Film yang terinspirasi dari tragedi tenggelamnya kapal Titanic tersebut mengkisahkan kisah cinta dua orang dari kelas yang berbeda yang sedang bertemu dalam kapal titanic. Film tersebut sempat menjadi film terbaik pada tahun itu dan masih diingat oleh banyak orang di seluruh dunia hingga saat ini.

Sunday the Terrible

  Last week was a terrible day for me. My cousin and I were playing football infront of the house to spend time with us .

   First, it was really fun until I kicked the ball too strong, so the ball leaded me to the window and broke the windo. When we want to escape, all of a sudden we all heard a loud voice. After that, the owner of the house came out of the fence, he yelled at us. We are very afraid of her, but we do not know what to do. Then, one of my cousins told us to run, we all ran, and suddenly we heard the sound of skin. Then we know that homeowners allow dogs to chase us. And we were struggling to run as fast as her as we can.

  But, I fell down so the dog managed to capture me and bit my leg. It really hurts me. Then the dog ran back into the house. My cousin took me to the doctor and told my parents . In the end, the doctor said that I was exposed to rabies. Then I was hospitalized for one week more.

  That's a terrible day of the week for me, may not happen to me again in his next week Sunday.
